Blossom's review: DIY beauty routine

Having a bright, clear, and soft skin are every girl’s dream, include me. But, sometimes the facial foam that i used is not working and leaving a bad impacts for my skin. At the first usage, I didn’t feel anything just soft and relaxed skin.  So, I decided to use it. And then a few months later, suddenly my skin felt rigid after i washed my skin with it. It makes me confused, and feel like “for God’s sake, i must change my facial foam, again?

Actually, changing your skin care isn’t recommend. It can be damage your skin because your skin is needed to adapt with new facial foam (again). And your skin isn't always suitable with every skin care things. That's what happened with my skin, so i found another way to clean and smooth my skin. I started browsing do-it-yourself skin care that made from natural ingredients such as cucumber, tomatoes, apple, eggs, oatmeal, milk, coffee, strawberry, lemon, etc.

What i've done with those natural ingredient?
  • For cucumber, i slice or chop the cucumber then apply it all over my face. Let them dry for 15-30 minutes. Then, I wash my face and rub some ice cube all over my face to fresh my skin! :)
  • Tomatoes, apple, and strawberry are good combination juice that I always drink everyday. Oh, it's also avoiding my skin from acne.
  • Sometimes, I have a blackheads too. I pour an egg with a drop of lemon water, especially an egg white to make a face mask. Just apply it for 15 minutes and clean it.
  • Last but not least, this combination is my daily skin care beside facial foam. There's both ways to apply it, as facial mask or facial wash. To rest my skin from chemical material, i often applying it as facial wash to substitute my skin care. What's ingredient that I use? Yup, oatmeal! Hohoho.... the result of oatmeal facial mask is pretty good for my skin. Now, I will show you how to make an oatmeal facial mask. Here you go :)

First, you need an oatmeal and make sure it doesn’t have any flavoring and other additives. (If you’re not sure, get plain oats). In this case i use Quaker Oatmeal that can be found at mini market.
Take 1 tablespoon of oatmeal and place it on a plate

Second, pour three tablespoon of water (or more) until it turns into a paste

Voila! You've got an oatmeal paste. Just apply it all over your face as facial mask, or rub it to make it as your facial wash. And last step is rinse with cold water :)
(You can apply moisturizer)

If you want, you can mixing it with coffee or milk too. Do you know? Oatmeal contains avenanthramides, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds that soothe itchy, dry and irritated skin. Oatmeal is also great for acne-prone skin because it absorbs oil from the skin’s surface. That's why I love this DIY beauty routine.

Who's already try it? What do you like the most, with coffee/with milk/just oatmeal? Leave your comment below! :)

Rara
